About the Role

Develop new business across the electrical trade market

Prospect and open new customer accounts

Win business from competing wholesalers

Build relationships with electrical contractors and trade customers

Spend the majority of your time on the road in front of customers

Identify upcoming projects, purchasing opportunities and new accounts

Follow up opportunities consistently until they convert

Grow revenue, margin and overall territory performance

Work closely with the Branch Manager and internal sales team

Maintain strong communication between customers and the branch

Take ownership of your activity, pipeline and results

Who We’re Looking For? This role needs a

genuine new‑business sales rep .

You could already be working as an External Sales Rep, BDM or Account Manager within electrical wholesale, trade supplies, industrial products or another contractor‑focused industry.

Industry knowledge is valuable,



but the bigger priority is your ability to

hunt, prospect and win business .

You need to be comfortable hearing no, walking into businesses where nobody knows you, making cold calls and continuing to follow up until you get an opportunity.

Electrical wholesale or electrical industry experience is highly regarded

Existing relationships with electrical contractors are highly regarded

Proven B2B sales or business development experienceStrong new‑business prospecting ability

Confidence approaching customers cold

Ability to open and develop new accounts

Commercial mindset and strong negotiation skills

Resilience when dealing with rejection

Strong relationship‑building skills

Self‑motivation and personal accountability

Ability to manage your own territory and sales activity

Skilled communication and presentation

Current driver’s licence
