Position Overview

Position Title: School Cleaner

Workload FTE: 20hrs/week (0.53FTE) 3pm - 7pm

Employment Basis: Permanent Part Time

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as available

Pay: $35.05 per hour

Role Join our dedicated Facilities team to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and visitors. As a School Cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our campus. This is a

permanent part-time position offering consistent year-round employment , providing the stability of regular hours and ongoing work throughout the year. As a permanent employee, you will have access to

paid annual leave, personal (sick) leave and other entitlements , making this an excellent opportunity for someone seeking reliable, long-term employment within a supportive school community.

Key Responsibilities





Perform daily cleaning of classrooms, offices, and communal areas

Replenish supplies and follow established cleaning schedules and procedures

Ensure all surfaces, floors, and fixtures are sanitized and presentable

Safely use and store cleaning chemicals and equipment

Report maintenance or safety issues promptly

Support College events and activities with additional cleaning as required

Work collaboratively with the Facilities team to uphold College standards

Selection Criteria The successful applicants will have:

A commitment to the Christian ethos and College values

Previous experience in commercial cleaning (educational setting preferred)

Reliable, punctual, and committed to high standards

Good communication and teamwork skills

Committed to secure work practices and reporting maintenance or safety issues promptly

Please note: Successful applicants must hold a valid Working with Children Check Blue Card, prior to starting work and have the legal right to work in Australia.
