We're looking for an
Apprentice Fitter & Machinist to join the Wetherill Park team in Sydney, starting December/January.
You'll get hands-on exposure to hydraulic cylinder repair and rebuild, working alongside experienced technicians in a workshop built for large-scale, heavy-duty equipment - plus exposure to the branch's cylinder service exchange program, which keeps a substantial inventory of refurbished cylinders moving to minimise customer downtime.
You won't be figuring this out on your own. Through our
Elevate Apprenticeship Program , you'll have a mentor in your corner, structured learning through the Elevate Academy, and a wider community of apprentices across Questas Group going through the same journey.
Your Responsibilities
Work alongside senior fitters and machinists on hydraulic cylinder repair and rebuild
Learn to read technical drawings and schematics
Assist with inspection, disassembly, and reassembly of hydraulic cylinders
Get hands-on with stripping benches,
honing equipment, and hydraulic test rigs
About You
Minimum Year 10 High School Certificate
Curious about how machines and mechanical systems work
Comfortable with maths, and positive with your hands
Careful and precise - accuracy matters in this trade
