IT Support Specialist

to join our dynamic team in Pakenham, VIC. This is a

full-time position

offering the opportunity to provide critical technical support and solutions to our users and stakeholders. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be at the forefront of our organisation's technology operations, ensuring that all systems and users are supported effectively. This role is integral to maintaining our operational efficiency and supporting the broader business objectives of JTechOptions Pty Ltd.

Key responsibilities

Provide first and second-line technical support to end-users via phone, email and in-person, troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues

Install, configure and maintain computer hardware, peripherals and software applications across the organisation

Manage and maintain IT systems, including user accounts, permissions and access controls

Perform regular system maintenance, updates and patches to ensure optimal performance and security

Document technical issues, resolutions and provide clear reporting on ticket status and system performance

Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues and provide support for remote users

Assist with data backup and recovery procedures to ensure business continuity

Respond promptly to user requests and escalated complex issues to senior technical staff as required

Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT support processes and procedures

What we're looking for

Completed formal qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent industry-recognised certification such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Associate or similar

Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in IT support, help desk or technical support roles within a professional environment

Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently





Proficiency with Windows and/or macOS operating systems and experience with common enterprise applications

Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple support requests prioritising effectively

Proactive approach to problem-solving with attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team setting

Preferred experience with ticketing systems, Active Directory management and mobile device support
