L&D; Micro Tunnelling are seeking a Fitter & Machinist to join our team. We are based in Carrum Downs and work on civil construction projects throughout Victoria, primarily around Melbourne, Gippsland and the southeast suburbs. This is a casual position for 3-6 months. Typical work hours are 7.00am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday with some weekends and overtime required. Key responsibilities

Maintenance & assembly of drill heads & equipment Respond to breakdowns on-site Work on new R&D; tunnelling equipment About you

White Card or red card Australian trade Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical trade (Fitter & Machinist) with a Minimum of 2-year experience trade qualified Robust ability to read, interpret and apply technical and engineering drawings Adept in Mig welding, fabrication, Manual lathe and Milling machines High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to be innovative Own reliable transport Physically fit Available to work Monday to Friday Reliable, hardworking, motivated and willing to learn new skills and add value to the team Excellent pay rates and immediate start Work on a range of custom-built equipment
