About the role
Based in our workshop and reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you’ll gain hands-on experience across a range of fabrication, welding and mechanical tasks. As you progress through your apprenticeship, you’ll learn how to: Safely operate a range of power tools and workshop equipment
Set up components for welding, fabrication and pressure testing
Read and interpret engineering drawings
Fabricate and produce parts to specification
Remove, repair and install new and used parts and machinery
Work in both workshop and site environments
Develop the practical skills and knowledge required to become a qualified Boilermaker
