We are a busy specialist practice located within the St John of God Specialist Centre in Berwick. As our practice continues to grow, we are looking for an enthusiastic person with a strong customer focus to join our team. This position will be the first point of contact for our practice and therefore requires solid customer service skills.

Qualifications & experience

Exceptional customer service, data entry and communication skills

Ability to prioritise tasks and workload

Ability to work as a team member and contribute to a productive team

Confident computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly

Experience within a healthcare environment

knowledge of Xestro is highly regarded but not essential

Tasks & responsibilities

Managing incoming calls and patient enquiries

Liaise and assist patients in a warm, compassionate and professional manner





Receive and convey messages in writing, verbally and electronically

Booking and coordinating appointments

Managing correspondence, referrals and medical documentation

Process payments and Medicare transmissions

Liaise with GPs, other health professionals and their staff

Maintaining confidentiality and patient privacy

About the Role As part of our reception team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting the smooth daily operation of the practice.

What We Offer

Part-time position – 3 to 4 days per week

Days:

Monday to Friday on a 4 week rotating schedule
