About the Role As a Retail Trade Salesperson, you'll help our customers find the right tools and equipment for the job.

Our customers range from professional tradespeople and contractors through to businesses and DIY customers, so every day brings something different.

You'll spend your time speaking with customers, understanding what they're trying to achieve and recommending products that suit their needs.

You don't need to know every product on day one. We'll provide training. What matters is that you're customer-focused, motivated to sell and willing to learn.

What You'll Be Doing

Assist customers in-store and over the phone

Provide practical advice on tools, equipment and accessories

Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products

Build strong relationships with trade and commercial customers

Identify opportunities to increase sales and encourage repeat business

Work towards individual and store sales targets

Keep up to date with new products, promotions and supplier ranges

Maintain a clean, qualified and well-presented showroom

Assist with merchandising, stock presentation and general store operations

Resolve customer enquiries professionally and efficiently





Work collaboratively with the wider Roselands Commercial team

The position operates on a

10-day rotating roster , including one weekend day each week.

About You You don't necessarily need years of retail experience.

If you understand tools, enjoy dealing with people and have the drive to succeed in sales, we want to hear from you.

You’ll ideally bring:

Experience in retail sales, trade sales, hardware, tools or customer service

OR a trade background with a desire to transition into sales

An interest in tools, power equipment, construction or the trade industry

Strong communication and people skills

A genuine desire to help customers find the right solution

Motivation to achieve sales targets and deliver strong results

Confidence using computers and point-of-sale systems

The ability to work effectively in a busy retail environment

A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Tool and trade product knowledge is highly regarded, but not essential. Ready to Get Off the Tools? If you've spent years working on the tools and are ready for a change, your practical experience could make you an excellent fit for this role.
