About the Role We are seeking a Chef to support daily kitchen operations. The role involves preparing and cooking menu items, managing a section during service, and maintaining consistency in food quality and presentation. You will work as part of a kitchen team, contributing to smooth service flow and adherence to established kitchen standards.

Salary $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes including curries, tandoori items, and breads

Manage a kitchen section and ensure timely service during peak periods

Assist with food preparation, marination, and portioning

Maintain consistency in taste,



presentation, and portion sizes

Monitor food quality and adherence to recipes

Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards

Assist with stock rotation, storage, and inventory control

Minimise food wastage and support efficient kitchen operations

Coordinate with kitchen staff to maintain workflow during service

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen

Skills & Experience

Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or a related qualification

Minimum 1 to 2 years of relevant full-time work experience

Experience working with Indian cuisine preferred

Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen workplace

Strong attention to detail and consistency

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Good time management and organisational skills
