Job Description We are seeking Platform / DevOps Engineers to design, build and deploy prototype Defence systems using modern cloud native technologies. You will work across microservices, containerisation, automation and CI/CD pipelines, contributing to high quality engineering outcomes and supporting Defence clients in technically challenging environments. This role suits engineers who enjoy problem solving, collaboration and working in a smaller, high performing team.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and deploy prototype Defence systems using Docker, Kubernetes and cloud native technologies

Work with Defence clients to understand requirements and plan delivery activities

Build microservices and distributed systems using modern engineering practices





Apply automation including Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD to improve development and delivery

Contribute to code reviews, design reviews and collaborative development

Continue developing technical capability through on the job learning and professional development

Education/Certifications Required

Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Systems Engineering

Australian citizenship

NV1 with ability to obtain TSPV clearance

Knowledge/Skills Required

Containerisation using Docker

Kubernetes orchestration; Helm v3 experience desirable

Microservice architectures

Automation using Ansible

CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitLab) and deployment tooling

Experience with data pipeline or lakehouse technologies such as Dagster, Spark or Hadoop (highly valued)

Familiarity with Agile development practices
