This is a hands-on position suited to a capable Chef who is comfortable working independently when required and as part of an established kitchen team. You will work alongside our Head Chef and become a key member of our kitchen team at the Golden Nugget Restaurant, a unique tourism and hospitality destination in the historic goldfields town of Maldon, Victoria. Key responsibilities

Preparation and service of high-quality restaurant meals Working across grill, pans, fryer and general kitchen sections Maintaining consistent food quality and presentation Assisting with functions, events and group catering Food preparation and mise en place Stock rotation, portion control and minimising wastage Maintaining excellent food-safety and kitchen-hygiene standards Assisting the Head Chef with day-to-day kitchen operations Taking responsibility for kitchen service when required Supporting and working effectively with other kitchen and restaurant staff About you

At least 3–5 years' commercial kitchen experience Strong restaurant, hotel, pub,



resort or function experience Confidence working in a busy service environment Good knowledge of food safety and commercial kitchen procedures Strong organisational and time-management skills A reliable and professional approach to work The ability to work as part of a small, close-knit team Suitably qualified international chefs are encouraged to apply.
