Cyber Security Advisor | 12-Month Contract | $900–$1,100/day ex. super | Sydney A well-known Sydney government organisation is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Advisor to join on a 12-month contract. This is a senior, hands‑on role providing security guidance across the organisation's technology programs. The role:

Provide risk-based cyber security advice, assessments and assurance across technology projects, systems and services Review new products, services, applications and infrastructure solutions, recommending fit‑for‑purpose controls Advise project and technology teams on secure design and implementation Support cyber security governance — policies, standards and procedures Contribute to security awareness and training initiatives What you'll bring:





Solid working knowledge of the ASD Essential Eight (and familiarity with ISO 27001/27002/27005, NIST, ISM) Hands‑on experience securing Microsoft Azure / Entra ID environments, including network security Solid background in cyber security advisory, risk assessment, assurance or governance Experience reviewing applications, systems and infrastructure from a security lens CISSP, CISA or CISM highly regarded; OT security knowledge a plus Why apply:
