Job Description SEO Specialist / Senior SEO Specialist - GEO/SEO Focus

A leading digital agency in Surry Hills who are looking for an SEO / Senior SEO Specialist to join their growing organic search team.

This is a outstanding opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in traditional SEO who is already embracing the evolution of search across GEO, AEO and AI driven search.

Salary up to $100K + Super and $120K + Super for the Senior Specialist

Surry Hills office - Hybrid, 2 days per week

WHO ARE WE? We're an established digital agency working with a diverse portfolio of ambitious Australian brands. SEO remains a core part of what we do, but search is changing quickly. We're investing heavily in how brands appear across Google, AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini and other generative and answer-led search experiences. We're looking for someone who understands the fundamentals of SEO but is equally excited about where organic search is heading.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING? You’ll work across a portfolio of clients, developing and executing organic search strategies designed for both traditional search engines and emerging AI-driven discovery.

You’ll be responsible for:

Developing and executing SEO strategies across multiple client accounts





Conducting technical SEO audits and identifying opportunities for improvement

Keyword research, competitor analysis and content optimisation

Working across on-page, off-page and technical SEO

Developing GEO and AEO strategies to improve visibility within AI-generated and answer-led search results

Optimising content and site structures for LLMs, AI Overviews and generative search experiences

Identifying opportunities around entities, structured data, topical authority and conversational search

Monitoring organic performance and producing actionable client reportingWorking alongside content, development, paid media and strategy teams

Keeping ahead of developments across Google Search, AI Search, GEO and AEO

WHAT YOU NEED...

3+ years' SEO experience, ideally within a digital or media agency

Strong understanding of technical, on-page and off-page SEO

Hands-on experience with tools such as GA4, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs and/or SEMrush

Knowledge and practical understanding of GEO and AEO

A genuine interest in AI Search, LLMs and the changing search landscape

Experience developing SEO strategies and presenting recommendations to clients

Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights

Confident communication and client management skills

Someone curious, commercially minded and keen to stay ahead of where search is heading
