North Queensland Customs Services – South Townsville QLD This is a pivotal role within the organisation, responsible for overseeing the company's financial administration functions while working closely with senior management to support business performance and operational efficiency. It will work across four different businesses - North Queensland Customs Services, Townsville Customs and Forwarding Services, Brisbane Customs and Forwarding and NQ Cargo Link. We are seeking a professional who takes ownership, values accuracy, enjoys improving systems and processes, and can confidently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced workplace. We have advertised for a full-time role - but will consider four days a week for the right candidate. Key responsibilities

Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable across four businesses - North Queensland Customs Services, Townsville Customs and Forwarding Services, Brisbane Customs and Forwarding and NQ Cargo Link Processing payroll and maintaining payroll compliance Bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance Monitoring debtors and assisting with cash flow management Preparing BAS and supporting financial reports Month-end reconciliations and reporting Maintaining financial records and documentation Supporting management with financial analysis and business reporting Liaising with external accountants and service providers Identifying and implementing process improvements within finance and administration functions What we’re looking for

Previous experience in a senior finance, bookkeeping,



accounting or financial administration role with qualifications in Accounting or Finance Exceptional organisational and administrative skills with meticulous attention to detail in a fast-paced environment High level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, accounting software and financial systems, such as Xero Proven ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with colleagues across the organisation Transport, logistics, freight forwarding, customs brokerage or warehousing industry experience is desirable What we offer
