Japanese Teacher (Middle Years) Commencing ASAP or Term 4, 2026

An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate and enthusiastic

Japanese Teacher

to join a thriving Middle Years Languages programme at a leading independent school in Northern Tasmania.

With a strong commitment to Languages education, students have the opportunity to learn

Japanese, French and Chinese , creating a vibrant and globally minded learning environment.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative team and be supported by an experienced

Senior Japanese Teacher .

This role is available for an immediate start or commencement in Term 4, and may be offered as either a contract until the end of the school year or as an ongoing permanent position for the right candidate.

About the Role

Teach Japanese to Middle Years students.

Deliver engaging and authentic language learning experiences.

Work within a highly regarded Languages department with a strong culture of collaboration.

Receive mentorship and support from an experienced Senior Japanese Teacher.

Opportunity for fixed-term or ongoing employment.

About You

Qualified and registered teacher.

Passionate about Japanese language and culture.

Able to inspire curiosity, confidence and intercultural understanding.

Strong communicator who builds positive relationships with students and colleagues.

Self-motivated and committed to high-quality teaching and learning.
