Join Suncorp’s Recoveries and Settlements team, where you’ll manage a portfolio of claims, identify recovery opportunities, negotiate fair settlement outcomes and deliver positive outcomes for customers and stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

Manage, proactively progress and finalise a portfolio of claims across Recoveries and Settlements

Identify recovery opportunities and negotiate fair, commercially sound settlement outcomes

Review claim information and estimates to make informed decisions within delegated authority

Communicate with customers and third parties, including managing complaints, vulnerability and financial hardship with empathy

Manage excess collection and maintain accurate claims records





Balance customer needs with commercial outcomes while maintaining strong risk and compliance standards

Manage competing priorities and meet customer commitments

Contribute to team performance and continuous improvement

What You’ll Bring

Solid customer service and communication skills, with a focus on positive outcomes

Confidence in negotiation and influencing, including managing challenging conversations

Robust analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to use sound judgement

Resilience and composure under pressure, with the ability to adapt to change

Strong ownership and accountability, with a proactive approach to progressing work

Commercial awareness and the ability to balance customer and business outcomes

Confidence using multiple systems and learning new processes and legislationA collaborative approach and commitment to team success

Experience in claims, insurance, complaints, recoveries, settlements or a similar environment is highly regarded

Role details

12-month contract commencing 19 October 2026

Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm

Melbourne, Brisbane or Toowoomba

Hybrid working, with up to 4 days from home subject to leader discretion

5 weeks in-office training plus 2 weeks supported onboarding

Limited WFH during training,
