Trinity Public Care Pty Ltd – Sydney CBD NSW Trinity Public Care is seeking an experienced Rostering Officer for our residential aged care homes located in Sydney. This is a
contract position
that plays a vital role in ensuring our aged care facilities operate efficiently and effectively. As Rostering Officer, you will be responsible for creating and managing staff rosters that meet the complex scheduling requirements of our residential care environment whilst ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and industrial agreements. This position is critical to maintaining service continuity and supporting our team to deliver exceptional care to our residents. What you'll be doing
Creating and managing staff rosters for residential aged care homes, ensuring appropriate staffing levels are maintained across all shifts Coordinating with managers and team leaders to understand staffing requirements and capacity constraints Ensuring compliance with Award conditions, industrial agreements, and relevant aged care regulations in all rostering decisions Managing leave requests, including annual leave, sick leave, and other approved absences Monitoring and reconciling rostering systems and payroll data to ensure accuracy Responding to last-minute staffing changes and adjustments whilst maintaining service quality Liaising with staff regarding roster queries and ensuring clear communication of schedules Maintaining detailed rostering records and producing reports as required by management Contributing to workforce planning initiatives and identifying rostering trends that impact operations Supporting the implementation of fair and equitable rostering practices across all care homes What we're looking for
Demonstrated experience as a Rostering Officer or similar rostering/scheduling role,
ideally within aged care or community services Strong knowledge of aged care legislation, Awards conditions, and industrial relations requirements Proficiency with rostering software systems and payroll management tools Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels Problem-solving ability and flexibility in responding to changing rostering demands Understanding of the aged care sector and the unique operational requirements of residential care homes Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team Commitment to supporting equitable and compliant staffing practices What we offer
