As the Housekeeping Team Leader, your primary focus will be providing efficient management and coordination of the cleaning and laundry operations, ensuring a safe, high-quality cleaning and laundry service to our residents in compliance with legislative requirements. This is a hands‑on position that requires you to lead from the front. Directing and supervising staff in their duties Rostering and replacing staff when absent Ensuring staff are competent to use machinery required for their position Ensuring that cleaning of residents' rooms and public areas meets the standards and infection control Ensuring that laundry services are conducted in a safe and efficient way that meets the needs of the site and residents Reporting any evidence of pest infestation and breakdown in equipment or standards Responsible for managing and working within budgets for cleaning & laundry Manage the ordering, delivery, stock control and storage processes About you
The successful candidate must demonstrate the following:
Demonstrated experience in positive staff motivation and enhancement of performance of teams Ability to work independently and as a member of a team Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written Highly organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times Highly motivated and able to take initiative Maintain a clean and tidy work environment at all times Understanding of the Residents' Charter of Rights, highly desirable Understanding of the Standards and Guidelines for Residential Aged Care Services, highly desirable Please Note: Successful applicants must complete a National Police Check and/or NDIS Worker Check About this location
