An prospect has become available at Boone and Willard Plumbing for a Junior / Trainee Plumbing Estimator to join our busy professional team based in Loganholme, QLD. This full-time position will play a crucial role in supporting the estimating team and contributing to the overall success of the business.
Desired Experience / Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proactive approach to problem solving and multitasking
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to work either independently or as part of a team
Relevant qualifications eg plumbing trade certificate, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or a related field
Willingness to learn and grow within the construction industry
MUST HAVE:Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
Assisting the Estimating team in preparing detailed cost estimates for construction projects
Gathering and analysing material and labour costs, as well as subcontractor pricing
Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements
Maintaining up-to-date cost databases and relevant project documentation
Providing administrative support to the Estimating team as needed
Continuously learning and developing estimating skills
