The Role An exciting opportunity is available for an

experienced

Spray Painter . This position will be responsible for a diverse range of duties including industrial spray painting and quality assurance.

Being involved in the process of making signs,

the successful candidate will be responsible for:

Mixing paint and other materials according to specification or formula

Preparing parts and assemblies for painting

Painting (and some assembly of) signs according to instruction set by the Production Management team and the job sheet





Monitoring machine gauges and equipment operation to discover defects/deviations from standards and make necessary adjustments

Identifying and separating non-conforming parts or materials and report them to Team Leader and Management

Using a spray gun to apply paint in conformance to specifications

Employing heat or oven paint drying techniques for special purpose finishes

Following company requirements to select and match paint colours within specified colour charts

Maintaining stock levels of all items required for the completion of duties and minor maintenance

Ensuring the facility and spray-painting equipment are in valuable working condition

Managing OH&S; and environmental hazards in the paint bay and workplace

Actively involved in housekeeping and spraying of basic contact adhesives

Using basic hand tools

other associated tasks including helping elsewhere in the factory when required
