Marketing Brand Specialist - Food & FMCG 6-month contract with likely extensions Melbourne | Hybrid working

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Marketing Brand Specialist to join a leading Australian consumer organisation within its Own Brand team. You'll support the development and performance of well-known food brands, using customer insights and commercial data to strengthen brand positioning, guide product development and drive growth. This role offers end-to-end exposure across brand strategy, packaging, innovation and new product development.

What you'll be doing

Develop and deliver brand strategies and plans across a portfolio of food products

Use customer, market and performance insights to identify opportunities and recommend actions

Partner with product and category teams to embed brand guidelines across products and packaging

Work closely with creative teams to maintain a consistent and compelling brand identity

Support food innovation, product launches and new product development initiatives

Contribute to annual category planning and key customer campaigns





Manage multiple projects and influence stakeholders across the organisation

What we're looking for

Approximately 3-5 years' experience in brand marketing or brand management

Demonstrated experience working with

food products is essential

Experience within FMCG, supermarkets, food manufacturing or consumer-led retail

A robust understanding of brand planning, product launches, packaging and innovation

The ability to interpret customer insights and commercial data and turn them into practical actions

Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills

Excellent project management, organisation and prioritisation capabilities

A proactive approach and the ability to work confidently and autonomously
