Bakers Delight Brookside is looking for a dedicated and skilled baking skilled to join our team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about producing high-quality baked goods and working in a fast-paced retail bakery environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare, mix, knead, and shape dough for a wide range of bread and specialty products
Bake products in accordance with recipes, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation standards
Monitor fermentation, proofing, and oven temperatures to achieve optimal baking results
Ensure all baked goods are fresh, visually appealing, and ready for customer display
Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic work environment in line with food safety regulations
Assist with stock control, ingredient ordering, and inventory management
Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production and sales targets
Support product merchandising and maintain attractive in-store displays
Requirements
Relevant qualification in baking or a minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in a commercial bakery
Strong knowledge of dough preparation, fermentation, and baking techniques
Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in a high-volume environment
Strong time management skills with flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays
High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining hygiene and quality standards
