Embedded Firmware Engineer | $50K-$80K AUD | Perth, Australia Working with a global IoT and asset tracking business, building robust, scalable hardware products used across multiple industries. This is a great prospect for an early-career engineer to get hands-on across the full product lifecycle, working closely with hardware and production teams.

Ideal background:

0–2 years experience in embedded firmware development (or strong academic projects)

Strong experience with C / C++ in embedded environments

Exposure to microcontrollers (ARM, STM32 or similar)

Understanding of communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN)

Experience debugging on hardware (JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analysers)

Basic understanding of electronics and schematic reading

Exposure to RTOS or real-time systems (nice to have)

Familiarity with Git or version control

Some experience with Python or C# is a bonus

Degree in Electrical Engineering,



Embedded Systems or similar

What you’ll be doing:

Designing and developing embedded firmware for IoT hardware products

Supporting the full product lifecycle from concept through to production

Working closely with hardware, testing, and production teams

Debugging and optimising firmware performance and reliability

Supporting manufacturing and field teams with technical issues

Contributing to firmware architecture and system design decisions

Writing clean, scalable, and maintainable code
