This part-time role is a great opportunity for an experienced Conveyancer looking for genuine flexibility, four days a week within school hours, without stepping away from meaningful, varied work. You will manage your own file load with autonomy, while working closely alongside and providing administrative support to our Property Lawyer and Conveyancer in a collaborative, supportive team environment.
Key responsibilities
Running your own file load of conveyancing matters from instruction through to settlement
Opening files
Preparing cost agreements and initial letters
Setting up PEXA and Duties Online
Preparing for settlements
Supporting our Property Lawyer with file preparation, correspondence and settlement coordination
Supporting another Conveyancer within the team on shared and overflow matters
Preparing and reviewing contracts of sale, section 32 vendor statements and related transfer documents
Conducting title searches and property enquiries
Managing PEXA settlements and liaising with banks, agents and other parties to the transaction
About you
Two or more years' experience working as a Conveyancer within a law firm
Strong working knowledge of Victorian conveyancing practice and relevant legislation
Experience using PEXA and practice management software (Smokeball experience highly regarded)
Excellent attention to detail and file management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A collaborative approach, balanced with confidence to work independently
