to join the rehabilitation service at

Calvary Lenah Valley Hospital in Hobart, Tasmania . This is an excellent opportunity for a Specialist Physician looking to combine meaningful clinical practice with the lifestyle benefits of living in one of Australia's most beautiful and liveable cities. The Opportunity

The successful Specialist will work within a

private hospital rehabilitation ward , providing specialist medical care to patients requiring multidisciplinary rehabilitation following acute illness, surgery, injury or significant functional decline. You will work closely with an experienced multidisciplinary team to develop individualised rehabilitation and discharge plans, helping patients maximise their independence and achieve the best possible functional outcomes. The role would suit either a

Rehabilitation Physician or Geriatrician

with an interest in multidisciplinary rehabilitation and the management of complex older patients. The Role Includes

Specialist assessment and management of rehabilitation inpatients. Management of patients with complex medical and functional needs. Comprehensive geriatric assessment where appropriate. Development and review of individualised rehabilitation and discharge plans. Close collaboration with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, speech pathologists and other allied health professionals. Management of medical issues arising during the rehabilitation admission. Liaison with acute hospitals, GPs, families and community services. Participation in multidisciplinary case conferences.



Supporting safe and appropriate transition from hospital to home or ongoing care. Contribution to quality improvement and clinical governance. Why Consider This Opportunity?

FRACP-qualified Rehabilitation Physicians FRACP-qualified Geriatricians Specialists with significant experience in rehabilitation medicine or geriatric medicine. Internationally trained Specialists with comparable qualifications. Overseas-trained Physicians who are eligible for, or progressing through, an Australian specialist registration pathway. You Will Ideally Have

Specialist registration with AHPRA, or eligibility to obtain specialist registration. Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) or equivalent overseas specialist qualification. Experience managing complex medical and rehabilitation patients. Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills. A patient-centred approach to rehabilitation and functional recovery. International Specialists Welcome
