About the Role We are seeking a passionate and skilled

Chef

to join our Sassafras team. This role offers the unique opportunity to work in a

non-menu environment , where meals are curated weekly, allowing ample time for planning, preparation, and creativity. The focus is on

wholesome, beautifully presented, restaurant-quality meals

that nourish and delight our guests.

You’ll be working within a supportive and calm setting that values presentation, quality ingredients, and attention to detail. Each meal is an opportunity to showcase your craft — from seasonal produce to inspired plating.

Key Responsibilities

Design and prepare a rotating weekly menu focused on freshness, balance, and variety





Prepare and serve high-quality meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service

Manage kitchen operations including ordering, stock rotation, and hygiene standards

Maintain a clean, organised, and aesthetically presented kitchen

Work collaboratively with the management team to uphold HARP’s standards of excellence

Accommodate dietary requirements with care and precision

What We’re Looking For

A qualified chef or experienced cook with a strong passion for food and creativity

Excellent time management and ability to work independently

Strong knowledge of seasonal produce and balanced nutrition

High attention to detail and commitment to presentation standards

Calm, professional demeanour suited to a luxury hospitality environment

Previous experience in boutique hotels, retreats, or high-end hospitality preferred
