Trainer / Educator – Aged Care & Disability

We are looking for an enthusiastic Trainer / Educator who can bring learning to life and help strengthen capability across our community.
n
About the role
n
This is a varied, hands‐on role for someone who enjoys making complex information clear, creating engaging learning experiences, and helping people build confidence in their work.
n
You will be visible across the NDC community—facilitating induction and ongoing education, coaching employees in their work environments, developing practical learning resources and managing our UKG Learning Management System.
n
You will also work closely with operational leaders, clinical teams and quality stakeholders to identify capability needs and translate legislation, standards, audit findings and emerging risks into meaningful education.
n
Your work will directly influence employee confidence, organisational culture, quality and the delivery of safe, person‐centred support.
n
What you'll be doing
n
n
- Designing and delivering engaging induction, orientation and ongoing training for new and existing employees.
n
- Providing practical coaching, mentoring and support across our houses, café, wellness centre and other community environments.
n
- Developing and updating learning resources to reflect current legislation, research, organisational practices and sector best practice.
n
- Managing UKG Learning, including course assignments, completion records, reporting and learning administration.
n
- Reviewing audit outcomes, compliance data and workplace feedback to identify learning needs and improvement opportunities.
n
- Supporting employees to understand and apply the Aged Care Act, Aged Care Quality Standards, NDIS Practice Standards and other relevant requirements.
n
- Maintaining accurate records of training attendance, completion and evaluation.
n
- Building collaborative relationships with employees, leaders, clinical teams, subject matter experts and external training providers.
n
- Contributing fresh ideas that strengthen learning, capability and quality across NDC.
n

About you
n
You are an engaging and approachable trainer who enjoys seeing people grow in confidence and capability. You can connect with a diverse workforce, adapt your approach to different learning needs and make technical or regulatory information practical and relevant.
n
You may be an experienced workplace trainer, aged care or disability educator, Learning and Development professional, clinical educator or experienced care leader ready to move into a dedicated training role.
n
You will bring:
n
n
- A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment(mandatory).
n
- Experience designing,
facilitating or coordinating workplace learning.
n
- Strong knowledge of aged care, disability support or another highly regulated care environment.
n
- Confident facilitation, presentation, coaching and communication skills.
n
- The ability to build trusted relationships with employees and leaders at all levels.
n
- Solid organisation and the ability to manage several priorities at once.
n
- Confidence using learning systems, digital tools and workplace technology.
n
- A practical, supportive and improvement-focused approach.
n
n
Highly regarded
n
n
- Experience in an educator or training role within aged care, disability or healthcare.
n
- A clinical or care‐related qualification.
n
- Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA.
n
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications.
n
- Experience administering a Learning Management System.
n
n
RN registration is welcomed but is not essential for this role.
n
Mandatory requirements

n
- Current NDIS Worker Screening clearance.
n
- COVID-19 vaccination in accordance with current public health and organisational requirements.
n
- Current annual influenza vaccination.
n
