About the Role

n

We're looking for an experienced Operations Manager to take ownership of our busy Blacktown DC.

n

This is a high-volume operation with huge potential, and we're looking for a steady, hands‐on leader who can thrive in a fast‐paced environment, bring structure to the operation and lead a team through continued growth. You'll work closely with our experienced Sales Manager, with both teams focused on delivering an exceptional experience for our customers. With three Shift Managers and 30+ team members across three shifts, you'll have the opportunity to shape the operation, develop your leaders and build a high‐performing, engaged and efficient team.

What You'll Be Doing

n

Lead the day‐to‐day operations of the Blacktown DC and oversee the Shift Managers

n

Monitor and analyse receiving, put‐away,



picking and driver KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement

n

Delegate workloads and resources across shifts to ensure operational targets are achieved

n

Coach and develop Shift Managers and warehouse team members to build capability and accountability across workforce planning, rostering and daily workload management

n

Drive a strong zero‐harm safety culture, ensuring safety systems, databases and audits are maintained

n

Build strong relationships across Warehouse, Sales and other business units

n

Support employee engagement and work collaboratively with head office on staff initiatives and growth

n

Lead the team in line with Tradezone's values and leadership behaviours

n

Work autonomously, use sound judgement and take ownership when challenges arise

n

About You

n

5+ years' hands‐on experience in a similar Operations/Warehouse Management role

n

Robust organisational, problem‐solving and decision‐making skills

n

Experience managing KPIs, performance and continuous improvement

n

The ability to prioritise competing demands in a fast‐paced environment

n

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with Executive Management

n

Strong interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills

n

A hands‐on, positive and highly motivated approach

n

The ability to motivate, coach and hold people accountable

n

Confidence using Microsoft Office and basic IT systems

n

Current LF forklift licence – essential
