Marrickville Auto Body Pty Ltd is looking for an experienced Automotive Electrician to join Simon Auto & All Mechanical Repairs.

n

The successful applicant will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining electrical wiring and electronic systems in motor vehicles and will perform the following duties:

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Diagnose electrical, electronic and mechanical faults in light and heavy vehicles using diagnostic scan tools and testing equipments.
n
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing automotive electrical systems, wiring, and electronic components.
n
- Testing and replacing batteries, alternators, starter motors, generators, and voltage regulators.
n
- Repair and replace damaged or faulty automotive wiring, connectors, switches, fuses, and other electrical components.
n
- Installing and connecting electrical equipment, electronic components, and vehicle accessories to vehicle power supplies.
n
- Dismantling, inspecting and replacing defective electrical and electronic components and assemblies.
n




- Diagnose and adjust engine control systems and related electronic components where required.
n
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting, vehicle servicing, and preventative maintenance.
n
- Assist with general vehicle servicing and related mechanical repairs where required.
n
- Work alongside other technicians to diagnose and resolve complex vehicle faults.
n
- Testing vehicle systems after repairs to ensure they are operating safely and correctly.
n
- Maintain records, tools, equipment, and work areas in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements.

Skills and Experience

n

n
- Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent relevant qualification.
n
- At least 2 years' work experience in automotive electrical, diagnosis, repair and maintenance.
n
- Strong diagnostic, fault finding, and problem-solving skills.
n
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced setting.
n
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
n
- Possess the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
