Job Description

BR Accountants is looking for an experiencedBookkeeperwho is highly skilled in using Xero and bookkeeping fundamentals to perform day-to-day processing for a varied client base, and also contribute meaningfully to an already well-established public accounting practice. We are based in West Burleigh and service a range of clients across the Gold Coast, the rest of Queensland, the Northern Rivers and interstate.

What you will be doing:

n

Manage full-cycle bookkeeping across a client portfolio

n

Perform bank, credit card and intercompany reconciliations

n

Process payroll (end-to-end)

n

Process Accounts Payable and Receivable

n

Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS and payroll-related reporting such as STP and TPAR

n

Prepare any other required reporting to support accounting colleagues or to meet clients business needs

n

Review work when/if required of any junior team members

n

What you will bring:

n

Significant bookkeeping experience, ideally in a public practice or client-facing role.

n

Solid understanding of Xero and related add-ons; experience with other cloud-based tools is a bonus.

n





Excellent communication skills - you enjoy working closely with clients and understanding their businesses.

n

A proactive mindset with a focus on quality and team success.

n

Previous preparation of financial statements for individuals, partnerships, companies and trusts would be well regarded.

About the position?

n

2-3 days per week, initially in the office but with the possibility of working some days remotely

n

A casual contract with a guaranteed minimum number of hours per week

n
