Job Description

Working closely with the firm's Principal and legal support staff, you will assist with the day-to-day administration and progression of client matters.

Key responsibilities will include:

n

maintaining electronic client files, task lists, chronologies and critical dates;

n

organising correspondence, records and disclosure documents;

n

preparing draft lists of documents, routine correspondence, forms and other basic legal documents under supervision;

n

requesting and following up medical, employment and other records;

n

communicating with clients, insurers, medical providers and other stakeholders;

n

assisting with briefs, applications and settlement documentation; and

n

providing general administrative support and compassionate client care.

About you

n

You will ideally:

n

n
- have a genuine interest in law and legal practice;
n
- be studying law or another relevant discipline, or considering a future legal career;
n
- communicate clearly and have strong written English;
n
- be organised, accurate and attentive to detail;
n
- be confident using Microsoft Word, Outlook and electronic systems;
n
- understand the importance of confidentiality and professional conduct; and
n
- be reliable, willing to learn and comfortable assisting clients who may be injured or distressed.

Previous legal or administrative experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
