Velocity Home Lifts is a proudly Australian, family-run company redefining what's possible in home mobility. We're looking for a licensed Electrician to join our team, wiring, testing and commissioning the electrical systems and control panels behind our premium in-home lift products, built and supported across NSW.

What You'll Be Doing

- Wire, assemble, test and commission electrical control panels and control systems for residential home lifts in our clean, well-organised factory
- Read, interpret and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documentation relating to residential home lift systems
- Install, configure and commission Variable Speed Drives (VSDs), electric motors and associated lift control equipment
- Wire and test electrical components including relays, contactors, safety circuits, switches, sensors, power supplies and control devices used in residential home lifts
- Carry out electrical testing, verification and quality checks on residential home lift equipment prior to leaving the factory
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and control system faults on residential home lifts, both in the workshop and in office
- Install residential home lifts at customer properties as part of our lift installation team
- Complete the electrical installation, connection, testing and commissioning of residential home lift systems
- Carry out mechanical assembly and installation tasks associated with residential home lift installations
- Complete commissioning and final testing of residential home lifts to ensure correct and safe operation
- Identify electrical and mechanical faults on residential home lifts and determine practical, efficient solutions
- Carry out modifications,



upgrades and repairs to electrical control systems on residential home lifts as required
- Ensure all electrical and residential home lift installation work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with relevant Australian Standards, electrical regulations and WHS requirements
- Maintain accurate records of testing, commissioning, modifications, faults and completed electrical work
- Work closely with our production, engineering, installation and service teams to resolve technical issues relating to residential home lifts
- Provide electrical and technical support to our residential home lift installers and service technicians when required
- Assist with the continuous improvement of our residential home lift electrical systems, wiring methods, installation methods and production processes
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe electrical workshop and work area
- Work independently when required while also contributing to a skilled and supportive trade team
- Apply your electrical trade to a specialised, niche industry and develop advanced skills in residential home lift installation, electrical systems and technology

What We're Looking For

- Current NSW electrical licence (mandatory)
- Strong ability to read, interpret and apply electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documentation
- Experience with control panel wiring, VSD motor controls or similar electrical control systems




- Solid electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills, with the confidence to troubleshoot and resolve faults independently
- A methodical, safety-first approach with a high standard of electrical workmanship
- Valuable mechanical aptitude and a willingness to undertake both electrical and mechanical aspects of residential home lift installation
- Comfortable using hand and power tools and carrying out practical, hands-on installation work
- Ability to work independently as well as effectively within our installation, production and service teams
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality finished residential home lift installations
- Professional and respectful when working in customers' homes and communicating directly with homeowners
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to learn specialised residential home lift systems, technology and installation methods
- Ability to follow installation procedures, technical documentation and company quality standards
- Willingness to travel to metropolitan and regional NSW sites as required
- Previous lift industry experience is not required - we provide training in our residential home lift products, systems and installation methods. We are looking for a skilled electrician with strong technical ability, mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn a specialised industry.
