We're rolling into onion harvest season and on the lookout for a few legendary locals to join the crew! If you're a forklift pro, this is your time to shine in the sun (literally).

Kalfresh is an innovative, fast-growing Queensland horticulture company, focused on farming, processing and marketing fresh conventional and certified organic vegetables across Australia and select markets. We're a diverse, skilled team united by our passion for fresh, healthy nutrient-rich produce. We are creating a better farming future for our people, community, customers and the environment. Our fields stretch from Kalbar to Clintonvale and Gatton, and we're rounding up harvest heroes to dig into a golden onion harvest from October 2026 to January 2027.

Are you a gun forklift operator? Then buckle up – onion season is around the corner, and we need three legends like you to jump in and make it all happen!

n

Reporting to our Onion Harvest Manager, you will be responsible for a safe and efficient forklift operation during onion harvest operations.

n

This opportunity will be based on our farms that encompass breathtaking views and support work available in our Kalfresh production hub.

n

What you'll do:

n

n
- Load 'em up! Move fresh-picked onions from paddock to truck and around the factory.
n
- Operate our forklifts with a high level of precision and care to ensure safe loading.
n
- Follow harvest advice, documentation and accuracy.
n
- Adhere to farm policies and standard operating procedures.
n
- Work hand-in-hand with our harvest and production teams to meet logistic timelines.
n




- Ensuring required standards of hygiene are met.
n
- Assist harvest team to reach optimal KPI targets.
n

This position is a great fit for someone who loves working around fresh produce, enjoys getting stuck into a good days work, and takes pride in teamwork. You'll be part of a down-to-earth, supportive crew that's passionate about farming and excited for what's ahead.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

n
- Experience operating a High Reach Forklift in a farming environment loading and unloading trucks.
n
- Adaptability to varied work hours if required.
n
- Ability to travel independently between farming locations.
n
- Clear communicator who thrives in a quick-paced team on the farm or in cold room environment.
n
- Capability to perform repetitious tasks efficiently, accurately and systematically.
n
- RF scanning experience.
n
- Current drivers licence, LF forklift licence and full Australian working rights.
n
- Got a truck licence too? Even better!
n

These casual positions are based between our South-East Queensland farming sites inclusive of Kalbar, Clintonvale and Gatton, so would ideally suit someone who lives locally or willing to travel between these beautiful regions.
