Qualified Butcher (Sponsorship Available)

Trayza Recruitment is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated full time Butcher for a well-established meat and poultry business located in Ascot Vale, VIC. We additionally have a branch in Rural WA who are hiring too.

Key responsibilities

Break down all types of carcasses

Make sausages and other meat products

Prepare and present meat to a high-quality gourmet retail standard

Cut, grind and prepare meats for sale

Operate meat-cutting machinery

Clean and maintain tools and equipment and ensure displays and signage are accurate and attractive

Weigh, package, price and display products

Season, smoke or marinate meat

Keep records, budgets and inventory

Perform quality inspections on meats and other products

About you

Certificate III in Meat Processing or relevant qualification

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience

Strong carcass breakdown and knife skills

Food safety knowledge

Safety standards

Experience using slicers and meat-processing equipment
