Tingalpa and District Kindergarten is seeking an experienced and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to undertake a dual role as Co-Director and Nominated Supervisor.

n

The successful applicant will work in partnership with an experienced Co-Director, Nominated Supervisor and Educational Leader, sharing leadership responsibilities while maintaining a strong focus on teaching and learning.

n

This is a permanent part-time role compromising of:

n

n
- Teaching role: 48 hours per fortnight (8 hours each Wednesday-Friday)
n
- Co-Director: Additional 6 hours per fortnight Director Non-Contact Time (these hours can be worked flexibly)
n
- Generous Teacher Non-Contact Time provisions
n
- Be rewarded for your commitment with a wage rate of $45.57-$60.88 per hour plus allowances and Superannuation
n
- Receive two separate leadership allowances: Director Allowance and Nominated Supervisor Allowance
n
- Additional hours paid for Open Days, Staff meetings, Committee meetings, Working Bees
n

About Us:

Tingalpa Kindergarten is a community-based not-for-profit organisation affiliated with C&K.;

n

This single unit centre is operated by a dedicated volunteer management committee, elected annually from the parents and carers group who, together with staff maintain strong community relationships. Tingalpa Kindergarten has been providing quality early childhood education for almost 60 years.

About You:

n





You will be responsible for providing a play-based early childhood education program and managing the operational elements of an affiliated kindergarten, with the support of staff and the management committee.

n

n
- Minimum 4-year degree in Early Childhood Education (recognised by ACECQA as an early childhood teaching qualification)
n
- Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers
n
- Current First Aid, CPR and Asthma & Anaphylaxis Training (or willing to obtain)
n
- Ability to plan and implement a quality, child-focused educational program
n
- A thorough understanding of the roles of Nominated Supervisor and Early Childhood Teacher
n
- The successful applicant will ideally have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
n

- Current knowledge of the National Quality Framework & Standards, Early Years Learning Framework and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines.
n
- The ability to develop strong, trusting relationships between children, families, staff, and the local community.
n
- The ability to mentor and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
n
- Demonstrated ability to provide and document a high quality, play-based early childhood program, drawing on relevant curriculum documents and guidelines.
n
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team, mentor staff, and promote the values and philosophy of the service and C&K.;
n
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, make decisions and manage the day-to-day operation of the business requirements.
n
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred -

n

- A demonstrated understanding of the structure and operation of a community kindergarten.
n
- Prior experience teaching and directing in a Community Kindergarten.
n
- Prior experience working with a volunteer management committee.
n
- Knowledge of the C&K; 'Listening and Learning Together' Curriculum Approach.
