Perfs Fabrication & Welding Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Fitter to join our growing team, servicing a range of industrial and mining sites throughout the Hunter Valley.

n

We are looking for a reliable and skilled tradesperson who takes pride in their workmanship, has a strong work ethic, and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

About the Role

n

As a Fitter, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair and servicing of mechanical equipment and machinery across various workshop and site-based environments.

n

Your responsibilities may include:

n

n
- Mechanical fitting, assembly and installation of equipment and machinery
n
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance
n
- Fault finding, diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues
n
- Installation and alignment of mechanical components
n
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation
n
- Dismantling, inspecting and reassembling machinery and equipment
n
- Working with pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings and other mechanical equipment
n
- Completing maintenance and repair work to a high standard
n
- Following site safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment
n
- Working effectively with other trades and site personnel
n

About You

n





We are seeking someone who has:

n

n
- Trade qualification as a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitter) or equivalent
n
- Previous experience in mechanical fitting, maintenance or heavy industry
n
- Experience working within mining, industrial or workshop environments is highly desirable
n
- Robust mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities
n
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
n
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
n
- Reliable attitude and strong work ethic
n
