We are now seeking anElectrical Technicianto join ourUnderground Electrical Maintenance teamin our Sunrise Dam Gold Mine. Reporting to the Underground Electrical Maintenance Supervisor: you will have the opportunity to provide front line support and ensure all electrical works are carried out in a protected, timely, cost effective and environmentally responsible manner.

This role is based at the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine on an 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster, we operate direct flights to our sites from Perth and Kalgoorlie.

Accountabilities:

n

n
- Doing repairs, maintenance and installation activities on infrastructure such as, motors, VSDs, transformers, substations, starter panels, distribution boards, RMU's, ventilation fans, dewatering systems, instrumentation, communications, lighting, and other electrical systems
n
- Carrying out scheduled statutory requirements work safely and efficiently.
n




- Installing and maintaining underground reticulation systems, ensuring reliable power distribution.
n
- Conducting breakdown and maintenance tasks on underground drilling equipment to minimize downtime.
n
- Studying plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirement and sequence of repairs and or installations
n
- Availability after hours on a "Call Out" roster basis to respond to any equipment breakdown
n
- Assist with equipment maintenance shutdown or power isolation co-ordination and execution

About You

n

n
- Unrestricted WA Electrical Licence (Essential)
n
- Electrical Instrumentation Certificate, PLCs and Automation experience (Desirable)
n
- Data cabler's license advantageous
n
- Mining or heavy industry electrical maintenance experience (Essential)
n
- Underground Mining electrical maintenance experience is preferred
n
- Knowledge of the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations, AS/NZS 3000 and other relevant Australian Standards.
n
- Current High Voltage Switching certificate – however can assist with obtaining
n
- Computer literacy: Word, Excel, Microsoft Projects, and SAP
n
- Senior First Aid
n
- Existing and ongoing Permanent work rights in Australia (mandatory)
n
