We are excited to be opening a brand-new branch in Broken Hill and are looking for an experienced and motivated Workshop Foreman to take the lead in establishing and growing our workshop operations.

n

About the Role

n

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on leader who wants to be involved from the beginning. You will play a key role in setting up the workshop, establishing processes, building a strong team and ensuring our fleet is maintained to the highest standard.

n

Working predominantly with our extensive range of earthmoving and heavy equipment, you will oversee the day-to-day workshop operations while remaining hands-on with servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Leading and managing the workshop
n
- Establishing and maintaining effective workshop processes and procedures
n
- Servicing, diagnosing and repairing heavy earthmoving equipment
n
- Coordinating equipment dispatch and returns
n
- Managing workshop priorities and allocating work
n
- Monitoring parts,



tools and workshop stock
n
- Liaising with clients and other Brooks Hire branches
n
- Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping, safety and compliance
n
- Supporting the growth and development of the new branch
n

What we're looking for:

n

n
- Trade qualification in Heavy Duty Plant Mechanics (Essential)
n
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Plant Mechanic
n
- Experience managing a team
n
- Solid knowledge of Heavy Duty Equipment
n
- Competence in routine maintenance procedures
n
- Driver License, HR preferred
n
- Forklift/High-risk work licenses desirable
n
- Previous branch management experience desirable
n
- Hands-on approach with sound computer skills
n
- Excellent communication skills
n
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
n
- Ability to pass a Medical including a Drug & Alcohol test
n
