An opportunity is available for an experienced Human Resources Advisor to join a large and well-established organisation within the business services industry. Offered as a 12 month fixed-term contract, this position will provide maternity leave cover within the People Services team.

About the role
n
Working within the Business Partnering team, the Human Resources Advisor will provide practical, accurate and timely HR advice to managers and employees across a large and diverse workforce.
n
This broad generalist role will support a range of employee relations and workforce matters. You will partner closely with managers to build their capability, resolve workplace issues and ensure consistent HR practices across the organisation.
n
Key responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Providing advice across employee relations, performance management and dispute resolution
n
- Managing employee cases from initial enquiry through to resolution
n
- Supporting non-work-related injury management matters
n
- Interpreting awards, enterprise agreements, legislation, policies and procedures
n
- Coaching managers and strengthening their capability in managing people matters
n
- Contributing to workforce planning, organisational culture and operational HR initiatives
n
- Researching,
developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
n
- Preparing reports and reviewing workforce metrics, compliance matters and audit findings
n
- Identifying risks and recommending practical solutions
n
- Contributing to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
n
n
About you
n
You will be an experienced HR professional who can confidently manage a varied workload and provide clear, practical advice to stakeholders.
n
To be successful, you will ideally bring:
n
n
- At least 5 years' experience in an HR advisory or generalist role
n
- Qualifications in Human Resources, Workplace Health and Safety or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
n
- Sound knowledge of employment legislation, awards, enterprise agreements and HR policies
n
- Experience managing employee relations, performance and workplace matters
n
- Strong judgement, problem-solving and negotiation skills
n
- The ability to build credible relationships with managers and employees at all levels
n
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
n
- A proactive, team-oriented and solutions-focused approach
n
n
