Job Description

EHW Technology is seeking a motivated and technically skilled IT Service Engineer / Systems Administrator to join our team in Mackay. Working as part of our technical team, you will support a variety of client environments and technologies, assisting with everything from end-user support through to networking, server administration, and cloud-based solutions.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving our clients' IT environments. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include troubleshooting technical issues, deploying current systems and technologies, monitoring network and system performance, and providing practical technical support to help keep our clients' businesses running smoothly.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

- A minimum of 1–2 years' experience in the IT industry; ideally in a Systems Administrator, IT Support, Service Engineer, or similar technical support role.

- Strong customer service skills with a proven ability to build and maintain positive client relationships.
n
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
n
- Experience supporting and administering Microsoft Windows Server 2019/2022 environments.
n
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, Office 365, Azure, and Microsoft Intune.
n




- Strong understanding of networking principles, including VLAN/routing.
n
- Experience supporting Windows 11 and Microsoft Office applications.
n
- Experience in desktop support, including diagnosing hardware and software issues, troubleshooting faults, and replacing hardware components.
n
- Experience configuring and supporting network-connected devices such as printers, scanners, and multifunction devices.
n
- A working knowledge of VoIP and PABX systems.
n
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple support requests.
n
- A current Australian Driver's Licence.
n
- Full Australian working rights.

Mackay-Based Position:

n

This position is based in Mackay, Queensland and requires attendance at our office and customer sites throughout the region. As this is a hands‐on role involving client engagement, project delivery, and collaboration with the wider team, remote or work-from-home arrangements are not available for this position.

Experience: We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 1–2 years' experience in a similar IT support, systems administration, or technical services role.
