Highlights

Four-day work week:

Monday to Thursday, with overtime available Friday to Sunday

Highly competitive rates:

Casual employees receive an additional 25% loading. Penalty rates apply Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

No trade qualification required:

About the role This is a hands-on role assisting qualified boilermakers, welders, and fabricators with general workshop and shipyard tasks. You will support steel preparation, material handling, cleanup, fitting assistance, and safe day-to-day production activities.

What you'll be doing

Assisting boilermakers, welders, fabricators, and mechanical trades with daily tasks

Supporting preparation, grinding, drilling, cleanup, and basic fabrication activities

Handling materials, tools, and equipment safely in a workshop or shipyard environment

Following instructions from trades, leading hands,



and supervisors

Working safely and contributing to a productive team environment

About you You may not be trade qualified, but you will have practical hands-on experience and the right attitude. To be successful, you will bring:

A current General Construction Induction Card (White Card)

Experience using hand tools, grinders, drills, or basic fabrication equipment

Previous experience supporting boilermakers, welders, fabricators, or similar trades

A robust work ethic and reliable approach to work

A team-first attitude with a focus on working safely

Willingness to learn, take direction, and build skills in the marine fabrication industry
