An opportunity is available for an experienced Network Security Manager to lead the network and security operations capability within a large, complex enterprise environment.

Reporting to the Head of Technology Operations, this role combines people leadership, technical direction, service ownership and operational management.

n

You'll lead a small team of Network & Security Engineers while taking ownership of the strategy, architecture, roadmap and ongoing improvement of enterprise network and security services.

- Own the strategy, architecture and roadmap across enterprise network and security services

- Oversee network availability, capacity, resilience, security and operational performance

- Lead major incident, problem and change management across network and security services
n
- Manage key technology vendors, telecommunications providers and service partners
n
- Support infrastructure, cloud, security and broader technology transformation initiatives
n
- Maintain disaster recovery, failover and business continuity arrangements for critical network services

What we're looking for

n

n
- 10+ years' experience across enterprise networking, infrastructure and/or security operations
n
- Proven experience leading and developing technical teams
n
- Strong technical knowledge across enterprise networking and network security
n
- Experience with Cisco switching/routing, Meraki and ISE
n
- Strong experience with Palo Alto firewalls
n
- Exposure to Azure networking and hybrid cloud connectivity
n
- Experience across SD-WAN, VPN, Zero Trust, SASE/SSE and ZTNA
n
- Strong understanding of network security, vulnerability management and cyber resilience
n
- Experience working alongside Information Security/SOC teams across security monitoring and incident response
n
- Strong incident, problem and change management experience within an enterprise environment

n Hybrid working – 3 days in the office and 2 from home
n Lead a small, established team within a broader national Technology function
