About the Role
n Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, this position plays a critical role in strengthening and embedding a proactive, people-first safety culture within our Luscombe manufacturing facility. You'll work closely with operational leaders, providing both strategic and hands-on HSEQ support, while driving improvements in safety performance, compliance, and team engagement.

This role will directly support the uplift of safety leadership capability across the site and will suit a confident self-starter who can work autonomously and drive improvement initiatives in consultation with the National HR & HSEQ Manager. Key focus areas include managing critical risks such as people-plant interaction, working at heights, and interface risks in a agile and busy manufacturing environment.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced HSEQ professional with a strong background in manufacturing, and a solid understanding of Critical Risk Management, Chain of Responsibility (CoR), and ISO frameworks.

What You'll Do

n

n
- Embed ATCO's HSEQ strategy, systems, and wellbeing initiatives across the manufacturing site.
n




- Build strong partnerships with supervisors, team leaders, and workers to coach and influence safety behaviour and decision-making.
n
- Lead and support investigations into incidents and hazards, ensuring root causes are identified and lessons are shared.
n
- Champion continuous improvement in safety systems, processes, and reporting tools.
n
- Monitor risk controls and support Critical Risk Verification programs.
n
- Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility obligations and promote a shared accountability model.
n
- Deliver engaging training, toolbox talks, and support safety meetings.
n
- Collaborate with national HSEQ and operational teams to deliver consistent, high-impact outcomes.
n
- Manage and submit monthly HSEQ reports, ensuring documentation is timely, accurate, and aligned with business requirements.
n
- Support the management of Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and associated documentation for both ATCO employees and on-site contractors.
n
- Conduct thorough and engaging HSEQ inductions for all new starters, embedding a strong safety-first mindset from day one.

What You'll Bring

n

n
- Certificate IV in WHS (minimum); relevant tertiary qualifications highly regarded.
n
- Demonstrated experience in a similar HSEQ Advisor or Business Partner role within a manufacturing environment.
n
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation, risk management, and incident investigation frameworks.
n
- Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility, critical risk controls, and ISO standards.
n
- Excellent communication and coaching skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
n
- Proficiency in Microsoft365 and cloud-based reporting platforms (e.g., Donesafe).
n
- A current Driver's Licence and White Card.
