Tambo Primary Health Care Centre is seeking a Clinical Nurse for a one-week contract role in rural Queensland. Based in Tambo, a small community in the Central West region, the clinic provides primary and emergency care to the local population and surrounding rural properties, with no inpatient beds on site. This is an prospect to deliver hands-on community nursing in a remote setting where your clinical skills and resilience will make a real difference. The role runs from 26 October to 31 October 2026, covering the Director of Nursing during a conference period.

- One-week contract in a rural primary health setting with direct community impact
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, plus on-call and recall availability for after-hours and weekends
- Support the local community and surrounding rural properties, with emergency response coordination through the Royal Flying Doctor Service





Preferred Requirements

- Proven clinical nursing experience in a primary health or community care setting
- Demonstrated experience working in remote or rural nursing environments
- Ability to support Queensland Ambulance Service operations and emergency response
- Flexibility for on-call and recall availability outside standard hours
- Remote Area Nursing experience is desirable

Preferred Qualifications

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Relevant post-graduate qualifications in community health, emergency nursing, or remote area nursing
- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) or equivalent emergency response certification
