We are looking for a hands-on Power & Energy Sales Specialist to generate recent business and convert opportunities into profitable sales. This is not an account-management role and it is not a senior management position. We are looking for a genuine salesperson who is comfortable finding opportunities, approaching customers, understanding what they need, developing solutions with our technical team, preparing commercial proposals and ultimately closing sales. The successful person will sell a broad range of power and energy solutions including commercial and industrial BESS, hybrid power systems, remote and off-grid power systems, solar and battery solutions, generator and battery hybrid systems, commercial energy infrastructure, and custom engineered power solutions.

Typical individual sales can range from approximately $50,000–$100,000 for smaller systems through to several hundred thousand dollars and multi-million-dollar energy projects.

Key responsibilities

Generate and develop new sales opportunities

Prospect and engage directly with potential customers

Build relationships across C&I;, infrastructure, resources, construction, energy and related markets

Qualify opportunities and understand the customer's technical and commercial requirements

Work with Remote Energy's engineering and technical team to develop appropriate solutions

Prepare and present quotations, proposals and commercial offers

Follow opportunities consistently and professionally

Negotiate commercial terms within approved parameters

Take ownership of opportunities from initial contact through to purchase order/contract

Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide realistic forecasts

About you

Proven ability to sell and close business

A proactive, self-directed approach to business development





Comfortable generating your own leads rather than relying solely on inbound enquiries

Strong commercial judgement and an understanding that profitable sales matter more than turnover alone

Ability to understand technical products and communicate technical concepts clearly to customers

Good written and verbal communication skills

Capable of working closely with engineers, designers, manufacturing staff and management

Organised and disciplined with follow-up and pipeline management

Comfortable dealing with projects ranging from relatively straightforward equipment sales to complex engineered solutions

Experience in BESS, solar, electrical equipment, generators, energy, industrial equipment, engineering, construction, resources or related technical sales would be highly regarded

Base salary $75,000 - $90,000 + superannuation

Company vehicle available for business-related travel

Opportunity to work directly with the people designing and manufacturing the systems being sold
