Our client is a well-established and growing builder delivering large-scale residential and mixed-use projects across the East Coast of Australia. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, an opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator or Contracts Manager to join their Sydney team.

This role will suit a commercially astute construction professional looking to take ownership of major projects while working alongside highly regarded project delivery teams.

The Opportunity
n
Reporting to the Project Director, you will play a key role in the commercial management of major developments from procurement through to completion.
n
You will be responsible for managing subcontractor procurement, contract administration, cost control, forecasting, variations and commercial risk across complex projects, ensuring strong financial outcomes while supporting successful project delivery.
n

Key Responsibilities
n

- Lead the contract administration function on projects valued between $50M and $100M+.
n
- Manage procurement strategies and subcontractor tender processes.
n
- Prepare, negotiate and administer subcontract agreements.
n
- Assess and manage variations, EOT claims and contractual correspondence.
n
- Drive project cost control, forecasting and budget management.
n
- Prepare monthly financial reports and commercial updates.
n
- Identify and manage commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
n
- Work closely with Project Managers, Site Teams, Consultants and Clients.
n
- Support project delivery teams in achieving programme and financial objectives.
n
- Mentor junior and intermediate Contracts Administrators.
n
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
n

About You
n
n
- Proven experience as a Senior Contracts Administrator or Contracts Manager with a reputable principal contractor / builder or developer-builder.
n
- Strong exposure to Class 2 residential, mixed-use, high-rise residential or large-scale commercial construction projects.
n
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects valued between $50M and $100M+.
n
- Excellent knowledge of procurement, subcontract management and project financials.
n
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, contractual risk and cost management.
n
- Ability to manage multiple trade packages simultaneously.
n
- Robust negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
- Degree qualified in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or a related field.
n
- Stable career history and a genuine passion for delivering quality projects.
n
