Senior Financial Accountant

Accounting and Finance | Financial Control and Reporting

Melbourne | Hybrid | $125,000 to $135,000 plus super

A skilled services business in the built environment sector is appointing a Senior Financial Accountant. The role has opened due to growth, reporting into the Finance Manager.

n

The business operates across multiple regions and international markets, with finance scaling to match the pace of the wider business.

The Role

n

n
- Owns month end reporting, profit and loss, and management reporting commentary
n
- Maintains balance sheet integrity and resolves reconciling items in a timely manner
n
- Prepares consolidation reporting for management and external auditors, across multiple entities
n
- Manages tax compliance including BAS, FBT, R&D; tax incentive, and income tax
n
- Business partners with regional and department heads on cost analysis and profit improvement
n
- Owns the end to end process for finance leases
n
- Contributes to yearly budgets and quarterly forecasts
n




- Drives improvements to finance systems and reporting processes
n
- 2 Direct reports in transactional finance.
n

n

Background Required

n

n
- CA or CPA qualified, with a relevant degree in accounting or finance
n
- At least 5 years in financial accounting
n
- Working knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax compliance
n
- Strong analytical skills and a high level of accuracy under competing deadlines
n
- NetSuite or larger ERP experience highly regarded
n
