We specialise in maintenance services for Government and Commercial clients and are currently experiencing strong growth within our Government division. As a result, we are seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians (Carpenters / Handymen) to join our team. Sole Traders Need Not Apply

Location

n

We are looking for personnel based in the Hunter Region, with works primarily located from Newcastle through to Singleton. Occasional travel to Northern and Central NSW may be required.

n

The Role

n

You will take ownership of assigned projects, delivering remedial and repair works across a range of building maintenance tasks. This is a hands‐on position, requiring you to carry out work independently as well as alongside subcontractors.

n

You will also:

- Oversee site safety and compliance
n
- Assist in coordinating construction programs
n
- Manage subcontractors to ensure timely, high‐quality outcomes
n
- Support pricing and scoping of works
n

n

Key Responsibilities

n





n
- Assist in developing work procedures and SWMS
n
- Plan and organise labour, plant, equipment, and materials in line with program and budget
n
- Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
n
- Conduct and document site pre‐starts and safety inspections
n
- Manage safety incidents in conjunction with Operations and WHS Managers
n
- Supervise works through regular site inspections
n
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors
n
- Track productivity against budget and implement improvements where required
n
- Identify variations or delays and report promptly
n
- Build and maintain solid client relationships
n

Additional Duties

n

n
- Review subcontractor workmanship and ensure quality standards are met
n
- Direct rework where required
n
- Report completed works to the Operations Manager
n

n
