Amey Australia is seeking a motivated Town Planner to join our growing Riverina team in Albury. About the Role

n

As a Town Planner, you will work closely with senior planners, technical specialists, and clients to support the successful delivery of planning and development projects across a variety of sectors.

n

You will be responsible for preparing planning documentation, liaising with stakeholders, managing project deliverables, and contributing to multidisciplinary projects that exceed client expectations for quality, professionalism, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare planning reports, assessments, and supporting documentation
n
- Contribute to strategic and statutory planning projects
n
- Manage project deliverables and deadlines
n
- Liaise with clients, councils, state agencies, and approval authorities
n
- Assist with development applications and planning approvals
n
- Prepare proposals, fee estimates, and project documentation
n
- Work collaboratively with engineering, environmental, and surveying teams
n
- Support the delivery of multidisciplinary projects
n
- Maintain compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and planning frameworks
n




- Participate in stakeholder consultation and community engagement activities as required
n

About You

n

Essential Requirements

n

n
- Tertiary qualification in Urban Planning, Town Planning, or a related discipline
n
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
n
- Knowledge of planning legislation, development assessment, and approval processes
n
- Understanding of strategic and statutory planning principles
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
- Strong organisational and time management skills
n
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
n
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building abilities
n
- High attention to detail and problem-solving capability
n
- Motivated and proactive approach to professional development
n

Desirable

n

n
- Relevant industry memberships (PIA or equivalent)
n
- GIS experience or willingness to develop GIS capabilities
n
- Experience preparing planning reports and development applications
n
- Knowledge of environmental planning frameworks and legislation
n
