Dundrum Civil is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Accounts Officer to join our Head Office team in Richlands.
n
This role is ideal for someone seeking to build a long-term career in accounting and finance and who already has some exposure to an office environment through administration, customer service, bookkeeping or similar experience.
n
While extensive accounting experience is not required, we're looking for someone with strong computer skills, confidence using Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), and a willingness to learn. Previous administration, office support or accounts experience will be highly regarded.
n
Most importantly, you'll be reliable, organised, positive and eager to develop your skills as part of a supportive finance team. We will provide the training and guidance needed to help you build practical experience across accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, payroll and finance administration within a growing Australian business.

About the Role
n
This accounting role will provide exposure to all aspects of the finance function. Working closely with our Accounts team, you will assist with a range of accounting, bookkeeping and finance administration tasks while building the skills and experience needed for a long-term career in accounting and finance.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Reconcile company credit card transactions and expenses
n
- Assist with Accounts Payable administration
n
- Assist with Accounts Receivable administration
n
- Process invoices and maintain accurate financial records
n
- Gain exposure to payroll processing and related administration
n
- Support month-end accounting activities
n
- Order office supplies and amenities
n
- Assist with coordinating office lunches, morning teas and team events
n
- Provide support to the wider Finance team as required
n
n
About You
n

- Has a genuine interest in building a long-term career in accounting and finance
n
- Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic
n
- Is organised, reliable and highly detail-oriented
n
- Enjoys working with numbers and financial information
n
- Has strong computer skills and is confident using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
n
- Has the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly

- Has good communication and interpersonal skills

- Is proactive and willing to take initiative

- Is reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work

Highly Regarded
n
n
- Certificate III in Accounting and Bookkeeping
n
- Previous administration, office support, accounts or customer service experience
n
- Experience using MYOB or similar accounting software
n
- Experience in the construction, civil, transport or related industries
